Dr Danie Breedt

Managing Director at Rivonia Medical Centre and Netcare Rehabilitation Hospital

PhD (Psychology), MA Counselling Psychology, BSocSci Honours – University of Pretoria; HPCSA registered; Interactional Pattern Analysis (IPA) Specialist

Dr Danie Breedt is the managing director of Charis Psychological Services and a psychologist in Johannesburg working primarily with group therapy, couples therapy, corporate psychological support and outpatient care. He works from an Integrative Interactional approach that treats relationships as central to psychological wellbeing, rather than something separate from it.

Alongside his clinical work, Dr Breedt divides his time between training, supervision and coordinating the Charis corporate wellness programme. He writes as a columnist for Rolling Inspiration magazine on sexual health for people with spinal cord injuries. He has been invited to speak on the relationship between sexuality and mental health on several occasions. His interest in the field grew out of wanting to help people work toward their full potential, particularly those navigating life after an injury or a disability.
